A todxs nos llega ese momento en el que hay que dar el paso, el gran salto. Puede que signifique superar algo doloroso que no podías dejar atrás, resolver un conflicto o enfrentarte a algo que llevas posponiendo demasiado tiempo; aunque todo se resume en lo mismo: priorizarte de una vez por todas y enfocarte en la dirección correcta. Pero no es fácil. Para ese tipo de hazañas necesitamos energía que nos dé valor, y en esos casos la música siempre será nuestra mejor aliada: el combustible adecuado. Como lo es precisamente ‘The Conflict’, el nuevo single de la banda catalana de punkrock ultramelódico Bullitt, que está de vuelta tras ocho años de silencio discográfico con un nuevo álbum, B Major, que verá la luz el 5 de mayo a través del sello BCore (formato físico coeditado junto a Cgth Records, La Agonía de Vivir y Saltamarges).

Tras adelantar ya 'Fix Myself', aquel pildorazo efervescente plagado de melodía y energía para levantar el más gris de los días, ‘The Conflict’ confirma que los mejores Bullitt están de vuelta. Poderoso, vibrante y con la capacidad de infundirnos el coraje que necesitamos, el nuevo avance de B Major nació de un riff sin salida que la banda tocaba en su local de ensayos; hasta que un buen día surgió una melodía y un ritmo y todo cobró sentido. El resultado es un corte elegante, con sabor a aquel gran salto que dimos de los 90 a los 2000, que une las armonías vocales de Lemonheads o Superchunk con la energía y la electricidad de Foo Fighters o Jimmy Eat World. La voz femenina, por cierto, es de Isa Fernández (Charades, Aries, Magia Bruta).
