- In The Cold Season marks the return of Madee to their most recognizable sound: the mid-tempos and the melodies that made them one of the most remarkable bands of Spain's emo scene.
- All the lyrics (and photos in the artwork) are by the poet Mark Swansong (drummer for Reason for Hate, Jeremy Enigk's teenage hardcore group, singer/songwriter for the celebrated Sunny Day Real Estate). It’s the second consecutive album where the Madee/Swansong team works like a perfect unit.
- Recorded at Ultramarinos and at their own studio, and produced by Santi García (Aina, Nueva Vulcano, Standstill, The Unfinished Sympathy, Toundra or Delorean), one of the key producers from Spain’s independent scene.
