Open casket funeral for the Olympic forest in the second half of life my thoughts are with you old jazz buffs and if you need me I can be found under the giant leaves of the maple trees catching raindrops as they come to me happy hour in the forest near the center of the lake where giants disguised as trees guide my walk in the rain I put one foot in front of the other in the hopes that I can discover some way out of this psychology of time Around the black black lake around the black black lake I put one foot in front of the other in the hopes that I can discover Around the black black lake I walked after your death watching fishermen’s poles cast deep unseen lines into the black black through grey shadowed moon as their legs were on vacation the fir tree next to the redwood tree next to the white elm tree near turtles fishing along the dust Around the black black lake around the black black lake I put one foot in front of the other in the hopes that I can discover

The footsteps of my father grow weak as I listen in on the other end of the phone I conceal my need to be there for my fathers footsteps grow weak under the weight of life under the knife under the fingers of a surgeon who cuts in clean thick lines and removes the abnormalities My fathers footsteps grow weak under the floorboards of a desert scene and a century of doubt where mountains swallow the breath of age as is iron to rust as the slippers flap the floorboards in an old man shuffle and call for rebellion in the collision Grow weak Grow weak But the footsteps of my father grow weak as did the bull worshipers and all rituals of repression Grow weak Grow weak

Double Helix 03:52
I take off the summer heat by a lone staircase leading me down under into the sub-basement where it is much cooler the stone wall and the stone flooring have me tilted I found new beginnings here on the steps of the sub-basement on a long exhausted day under the weight of a mansion We seem to see only that which we choose to see As all things lost to me will be revealed in the form of irony and doubt now my double helix begins and concludes in me I take off the summer heat I take off the summer heat We seem to see only that which we choose to see

Port alcohol slips ties into the future from port to sea from sea to port change my step through the vague misunderstood miseries Time capsule watch the movement time capsule watch the mentality The mind cries to the rising sun how often will my shadow be cast upon this wall? Broken world Broken world Broken World Where port alcohol plays with my eyes and distorts the future flying away from me I could settle on the sunrise sober for the season Time capsule watch the movement time capsule watch the mentality

I’m listening to rain drop heavily with a dreary fascination I’m walking with the rain as I hear a shy voice crawl up from the gravel A voice calling my name a voice calling my name calling my name where I hear the voices of the damned I’m talking to the rain she hears my sorrow and swallows my voice in the ongoing downpour my name that withers away in the rain A voice calling my name a voice calling my name calling my name where I hear the voices of the damned. I hear the voices

Blooms in my name blooms in my waking state you’re by my side in the seating arrangement sing me a song where the frown sewn weeps cracking the face amid squinting eyes I take a photo then take another chasing the sunset this twilight that shines shamelessly I fall too I fail and waste time precious time my time I am alive in my words I live in my words There’s nobody in the house tonight only the dim sound of loneliness I heard your words over the radio they felt isolated and cold enter an empty bar plenty of room I will write to you down in my pleasant mood I missed you somewhere but I will find you I am alive in my words I live in my words I fall too I fail and waste time precious time my time I am alive in my words I live in my words No End in Sight No en in sight transforms you mind in flight communicating without tongues a crusade against hate parades the tickertape your words cut with misplaced devotion look as far as the eyes can see close the focus until you are free No end in sight transforms my eyes no end in sight transforms my eyes to loose that which was our sight I can watch the storm start to form inside your rage the darkness that blends in muddy waters shoot an arrow through my heart shoot an arrow make it hurt No end in sight transforms my eyes no end in sight transforms my eyes to loose that which was our sight Our temper is the tempest that kills the kings of compassion all cruelty stems from weakness nothing is what it seems your mind is a poison arrow aimed at those we love can we live without violence your power means nothing everything is against you
7.
There’s an alleyway in the depths of my imagination where every brick is a poem shedding light into my past present and future the cherry blossoms sprang early this season No more frost no more rain only a silent drought in the form of blue skies I meditate on the notes a songbird sings where I am convinced there lies a secret message there’s an alleyway in the depths of my imagination where every brick is a poem every brick is a poem No more frost no more rain only a silent drought in the form of blue skies There’s an alleyway in the depths of my imagination where every brick is a poem

Gaps in Time 02:19
I fall in this tempest I fall to strip down my aimlessness and confusion to strip down my aimlessness and confusion I give into the crash to strip down my aimlessness and confusion

Conundrum 04:19
I watch her eyes when she sleeps at night I watch her way unaware of my presence sounds through the distance I watch her eyes as they cry at night steeped in a dreaming kiss Left to cut the wrists I’m losing my luster on a piece in your puzzle fighting for as long as I can not a crease in the shuffle I wish I had my camera I watch her eyes when she sleeps at night I watch her way unaware of my presence sounds through the distance I watch her eyes as they cry at night steeped in a dreaming kiss I wish I had my camera

As Observer 03:07
Swarm without a sound pen and ink before it’s found sacred oath centuries bound a vehicle for my anguish for the shape of my being as barricade from the plans you made I have skeletons in my closet who refuse to pay the deposit Gotta shed that skin you were born in think you bought some time but time bought you thrust into the future on a not so distant past you came apart like a butterfly digress by the casting die I have skeletons in my closet who refuse to pay the deposit Foreshadow Being a stranger to yourself being a stranger to others when you went offside I went to hide You won relief compromising your beliefs a moving target is hard to hit please don’t let me down mix the colors from red to brown Clay from the Earth death to birth Dreams of confusion a life of non-violence engulfed in a world of violence what a disgrace in a world of violence what a disgrace can’t see the forest through the trees Clay from the Earth death to birth Make a map from whence you came fold it in two and hold it to the flame Make a map from the dust you breathe lung heavy continents weighing down the breeze Clay from the Earth death to birth

In our collective suffering we’re encouraged to draw a line or take a stance for our misery hope will cast a brighter light that can darken our shadows Mix the colors from red to brown with a grind in the knowing feel free to believe in anything that fits inside your ideology when we take the time to focus lines collide in our geographical minds Anthropocene age freezes the shape of being Fragments of peace met with torrents of violence we can become a better future one worth living we define our surroundings with color and form but this is only an introduction to a feeling point of reference things we’ve acquired in the depths devoured This is only an introduction to a feeling When we take the time to focus lines collide in our geographical minds Anthropocene age freezes the shape of being
