Luckily the best things in life are free, music included. If I had to choose a band I've enjoyed the most over the past 11 years, I'd have to choose CRIM. I've been waiting some time for their fourth LP, and now it's finally here. "Cançons de Mort" is a beast of an album, top to bottom, made in the same vein of the best criminal punk rock out there. These guys have managed to create their own specific, unique sound. Suffice it to listen to a first note to know which band is playing. No smokescreen, just them. These are rounded, intense, luminous, energetic, strong sounds. Carefully carved, sometimes poisoned, and filled with vitality. Machine gun lyrics, with melodies that sing like bullets. These pieces are perfect for singing your lungs out. They'll captivate you because they'll run straight to the marrow in your bones. With unprecedented centrifuge force, “Sense tu estic molt bé”, “La veritat es perillosa” and “Estiu de merda” will give you goosebumps and tickle your nipples. Adult pleasure. The kind of pleasure that's free although I recommend you not be a downer, and spend a couple of euros on this LP. Your album collection will thank you. It will thank you because CRIM has done it again. I can't stop listening to this album. Glory to our counties.
